Mr Accident

Writer/producer/director yahoo Serious who had a surprise hit with Young Einstein in 1989, and a not-such-a-hit with Reckless Kelly in 1994), has released this, the third and final of his alter ego's appearances under the United Artists banner.  The film looks and feels very much like an Australian version (the Sydney Harbour Bridge is in every second shot and Sydney Opera House is the location of the egg factory, albeit with a good deal of irony) of a mainstream American comedy.

Serious's humour is of the Buster Keaton - Jerry Lewis physical kind, seasoned with a touch of Pee-Wee Herman and although not overtly pitched at kids, will principally appeal to them or adults in a condition of arrested development. Anyone else will pretty much exhaust its charms within the first 15 minutes as, whilst intermittently entertaining, you've seen it all before
