Day Of The Dead

While not reaching the heights of Night of the Living Dead or Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead is well worth revisiting, it is certainly vastly superior to its sequel, Land of the Dead, and if anything it has improved with age.

DVD Extras: The double disc set provides with two audio commentaries; director George A. Romero, special make-up effects artist Tom Savini, production designer Cletus Anderson and actress Lori Cardille give the first and members of the special effects team including Greg Nicotero, Howard Berger, Everett Burrell and Mike Deak give the second. We also get an entertaining documentary on the making of Night of the Living Dead entitled Reflections on the Living Dead including interviews with the cast and crew along with Wes Craven, Tobe Hooper and Sam Raimi. A fun behind-the-scenes featurette, trailers, TV Spots and a stills gallery finish off a great disc.
